The Saslong gondola, starting from Ruacia in St. Cristina, whisks skiers and sightseers up to the midpoint of the iconic Saslong piste, famous for its annual FIS Ski World Cup races. From the top station, you can take the Sochers-Ciampinoi chairlift to reach the summit of Ciampinoi (2,260m), a key starting point for the Sellaronda circuit. Alternatively, you can ski the thrilling red and black variants of the Saslong slope back down to the valley.
While the gondola itself doesn't directly link into the Sellaronda, the connection via the subsequent chairlift makes it a popular starting point for skiers staying in St. Cristina who want to join the famous tour.
