The most direct way to travel between Val Gardena and Alta Badia is by taking the SAD Bus Line 471, which runs over the Passo Gardena (Gardena Pass).
Quick Facts
The Primary Route: Line 471
During the summer and winter tourist seasons, SAD Bus Line 471 connects the two valleys. In Val Gardena, the bus departs from central stops such as Piazza Nives Bus Stop in Selva, continues through Dosses Bus Stop , and reaches its final high-altitude transfer point at Plan Bus Stop . From there, it climbs over the Passo Gardena before descending into Alta Badia, stopping in Colfosco and finally reaching Autostazione Bus Stop in Corvara.
This bus line is strictly seasonal. It generally runs from mid-June to early October and from December to April. During the 'shoulder' seasons (May, October, and November), there is often no direct public bus service over the mountain passes.
