The Lift: A modern, high-speed 6-person chairlift with protective bubbles, the Sochers-Ciampinoi is a workhorse of the Val Gardena ski area. It efficiently transports skiers from the Sochers plateau up to the main Ciampinoi summit, offering fantastic views of the Sassolungo group throughout the quick ascent. Its base station is home to the popular Sochers restaurant and hotel.

Winter: This lift is a crucial component of the counter-clockwise (Green) Sellaronda tour. From its summit, skiers gain access to the legendary Saslong World Cup downhill run, as well as several panoramic red cruising slopes like the Ciampinoi 4 and 5 that lead back towards Selva or connect to other parts of the area.

Summer: The Sochers-Ciampinoi chairlift does not operate during the summer season. Access to the Ciampinoi summit in summer is provided by the main Ciampinoi gondola, which departs directly from the center of Selva.

Getting There

The base station is located mid-mountain at the Sochers plateau. It is accessible by skiing down from the Ciampinoi gondola or by taking the Saslong gondola and Sochers chairlift from Santa Cristina.
