The Lift: The Alpe di Siusi gondola, also known as Mont Sëuc, is a modern lift that whisks passengers from the edge of Ortisei's town center to a breathtaking plateau at 2000 meters in just 5 minutes. The spacious cabins offer stunning views of the Sassolungo and Sciliar massifs, providing a dramatic entry to the sun-drenched expanse of the Alpe di Siusi. Winter: The summit is the main gateway to the Alpe di Siusi ski area, renowned for its wide, sunny slopes perfect for families and intermediate skiers. While not directly on the Sellaronda, a connection is possible via the 'Alpe di Siusi-Val Gardena Ronda' ski tour and a ski bus from Saltria to Monte Pana. The main circuit here is the family-friendly 'Alpe di Siusi Ronda', also called the Witches' Tour. Summer: In summer, the gondola becomes a primary access point for one of the most extensive hiking and biking areas in the Dolomites. With hundreds of kilometers of trails, from gentle walks to challenging hikes, it's a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Full bike transport is available, making it a favorite for mountain bikers exploring the vast plateau.
