The Lift
The Dantercepies gondola is a modern, high-capacity lift that serves as the main gateway from Selva di Val Gardena to the eastern side of the valley and the Sella Pass. In just over nine minutes, it transports you from the village up to 2,300 meters, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Sella Group, Sassolungo, and the Puez-Odle Nature Park. The architecturally designed stations are a notable feature, blending smoothly into the mountain landscape.
Winter
This lift is the strategic starting point for the clockwise 'Orange' Sellaronda tour. From the summit, skiers can access a variety of long, scenic descents back to Selva, including the challenging black 'La Ria' run and the historic 'Cir' slope, which was used in the 1970 World Championships. It also serves as the final leg for those completing the counter-clockwise 'Green' Sellaronda circuit.
Summer
In the summer, Dantercepies transforms into a hub for outdoor enthusiasts. The gondola provides transport for mountain bikes, giving access to the renowned Dantercepies Bike Park with its dedicated flow trails and connection to the Sellaronda MTB Tour. It is also a popular starting point for numerous hikes, from easy panoramic walks suitable for families to challenging high-altitude treks into the Puez-Odle Nature Park.
